                                The Wasserlauf Foundation grew out of the NRW Migratory Fish Scheme. This Federal State scheme was organised by the NRW Ministry for the Environment, Natural Conservation, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, in conjunction with the Fischereiverband NRW [NRW Fisheries Association], and it has been successfully pressing for the resettlement of migratory fish species and the renaturing of our waterways for many years.<br />
<br />
In the last phase of the Migratory Fish Scheme (2007-2010), it is hoped that the Wasserlauf Foundation together with all its partners will come to be established as a platform from which the goals and projects of the partnership scheme can be secured in a long-term and sustainable way.<br />
