                                Under the auspices of the NRW Migratory Fish Scheme five bodies of water have been targeted: the Rivers Sieg, the Wupper (including its Dhünn tributary), the Eifelrur and parts of the Ruhr and the Weser. In cooperation with the water management authorities, in?? for each of these zones priority areas, measures of the first importance for making the waterways passable and small pilot zones for the development of spawning regions have already been defined. The Wasserlauf Foundation however in principle aims to take on responsibility for the development of all bodies of water in NRW.
